Bleach Vol. 13

Yasutora Sado refuses to retreat from Shunsui despite recognizing the enormous difference between their abilities. Shunsui defeats him but orders that his life be spared. Elsewhere, Ichigo’s battle with Kenpachi reaches a crisis when the captain overwhelms him and drives his sword through his chest. Within his inner world, Ichigo confronts Ichigo Kurosaki and comes to understand that wielding Zangetsu requires trust rather than treating the weapon merely as a tool.

Ichigo returns to the battle with renewed strength, while Kenpachi removes the eyepatch that suppresses and consumes his spiritual energy. Their final collision leaves both fighters incapacitated. Kenpachi acknowledges his defeat, and Yachiru Kusajishi carries him away as he reflects upon his inability to communicate with his unnamed Zanpakutō.

Meanwhile, Orihime Inoue and Uryuu Ishida disguise themselves as Soul Reapers to move through the Seireitei. Their deception is exposed after they encounter Makizō Aramaki, but the sudden appearance of Twelfth Company personnel places the group in greater danger.
