Bleach Vol. 14

Ganju and Hanatarō reach Rukia’s prison, where Ganju recognizes her as the Soul Reaper connected to the death of his brother, Kaien Shiba. Their confrontation is interrupted by Byakuya, who swiftly defeats Ganju. Ichigo arrives to protect them and challenges Byakuya, but Yoruichi intervenes, carrying Ichigo away and promising that she can prepare him to surpass the captain within three days.

At a hidden training ground, Yoruichi reveals her human form and begins preparing Ichigo to attain Bankai, the advanced release of a Zanpakutō normally requiring years of training. Elsewhere, the imprisoned Renji Abarai confronts the manifested spirit of his own Zanpakutō and resolves to become strong enough to oppose Byakuya.

Meanwhile, Uryuu Ishida and Orihime Inoue encounter Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi, whose ruthless experiments place Orihime and nearby Soul Reapers in danger. After learning that Mayuri deliberately arranged the death and subsequent experimentation of his grandfather and teacher, Uryū sends Orihime away and prepares to fight the captain alone.
