Urahara distributes Shin’eiyaku pills that temporarily introduce Hollow energy into the captains’ Bankai, making the stolen abilities poisonous to the Quincies. Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Suì-Fēng reclaim their Bankai and defeat Cang Du and BG9, although Hitsugaya collapses from his injuries. Elsewhere, Shinji Hirako initially overwhelms Bambietta Basterbine with Sakanade before she activates Quincy: Vollständig and devastates the surrounding battlefield.

Komamura returns in human form after undergoing his clan’s Humanization Technique, which requires him to surrender his heart. Temporarily immortal, he confronts Bambietta with the transformed Bankai Kokujō Tengen Myō’ō: Dangai Jōe and defeats her by returning her own explosive power. His vengeance comes at a permanent cost, however, as he transforms completely into a wolf before reaching Yhwach.

When night falls, Yhwach executes Cang Du and BG9 for losing their battles. Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai return from the Soul King Palace, while Mask De Masculine defeats Ikkaku Madarame, Yumichika Ayasegawa, and Shūhei Hisagi before confronting captains Kensei Muguruma and Rōjūrō Otoribashi.
