Aizen destroys the remnants of the Soul King’s power descending upon Seireitei, but NaNaNa Najahkoop briefly incapacitates him after analyzing his spiritual pressure. Bazz-B, Liltotto Lamperd, and Giselle Gewelle then attack NaNaNa and offer to help the Soul Reapers reach Yhwach, intending to take revenge on the emperor who sacrificed his own soldiers. In the Garganta, Ichigo reunites with Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez and Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, while Riruka Dokugamine and Yukio Hans Vorarlberna provide transportation.

Yhwach reconstructs the Royal Realm as Wahrwelt, placing his new palace above the ruins. The Soul Reapers divide into separate groups after entering the city, while Ichigo’s party advances independently. Grimmjow encounters Askin Nakk Le Vaar, but the Sternritter incapacitates him by manipulating the lethal dosage of oxygen within his body.

Elsewhere, Bazz-B confronts Jugram Haschwalth. Their battle recalls their childhood friendship, when Bazz-B survived Yhwach’s destruction of his home and resolved to kill the Quincy king. After discovering Haschwalth’s extraordinary ability to amplify Yhwach’s power, the two joined the Wandenreich together, although only Haschwalth was chosen to stand at Yhwach’s side.
