Quick Facts
After reaching Yuba, Monkey D. Luffy, Vivi Nefertari, and the Straw Hat Pirates discover that the rebel army has already departed for Alubarna. Realizing that time has nearly run out, the crew races across the desert in a desperate attempt to prevent the coming battle before thousands of lives are lost.
Meanwhile, Crocodile advances Operation Utopia according to plan. Through deception and carefully orchestrated events, Baroque Works continues fueling distrust between the kingdom's citizens and the royal family, ensuring that the rebellion moves toward open war.
The story shifts to Rainbase, where the Straw Hats attempt to confront Crocodile directly at Rain Dinners. Instead, they fall into a carefully prepared trap as Crocodile reveals more of his ambitions and the true purpose behind his actions in Alabasta. Smoker and Tashigi also become caught in the unfolding confrontation.
The volume concludes as Monkey D. Luffy escapes to pursue Crocodile, setting up their first direct battle while the remaining Straw Hats struggle to escape Rainbase and continue their mission to save Alabasta.
