Volume 100 takes place entirely within the raid on Onigashima, following the alliance's assault on Kaidou and Big Mom. Across the island, the Straw Hats and their allies press their separate battles: Nico Robin and Brook support Sanji against Kaidou's elite Tobiroppo, the aged yakuza boss Hyogoro rediscovers his strength against the Beasts Pirates, and Tony Tony Chopper works desperately to counter the debilitating Ice Oni plague. The Nine Red Scabbards contend with renewed treachery as they push toward Kaidou, while the rookie Supernovas coordinate against Big Mom. The volume's centerpiece sees Luffy tap into a new dimension of his Haki as he squares off against Kaidou one-on-one. Its closing chapters shift toward the Skull Dome, where the struggle to protect Momonosuke draws in Kin'emon and, finally, Yamato. Throughout, the tide of the war swings repeatedly as some of the strongest fighters in the world collide.
