With the raid on Onigashima approaching, Kanjuro's betrayal is revealed and Kozuki Momonosuke is taken captive. While the samurai struggle with the loss of their young leader, Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar Law, and Eustass Kid join forces to restore hope to the alliance.
The combined rebel fleet advances toward Kaido's stronghold, where the Beasts Pirates are celebrating the Fire Festival. To rescue Momonosuke and liberate Wano, the attackers must infiltrate an island filled with powerful enemies before their arrival is discovered.
Denjiro reveals that Kin'emon's accidental misreading of Yasuie's coded message prevented Kanjuro from exposing the alliance's true gathering place. Thousands of samurai arrive to reinforce the raid, and Jinbe returns as the Thousand Sunny's helmsman. With their forces restored, the alliance divides into several groups and advances toward Onigashima while Law transports the Red Scabbards around the island.
The infiltrators enter Kaido's stronghold during the Beasts Pirates' festival, where the Tobi Roppo assemble and compete for an opportunity to challenge the All-Stars. Luffy abandons stealth after seeing Kaido's men waste food, while Kid pursues Scratchmen Apoo. Marco prevents the Big Mom Pirates from reaching Wano, and the scattered Straw Hats become entangled with enemies across the fortress.
Kanjuro delivers Momonosuke to Orochi, who prepares to execute him publicly. Luffy encounters Ulti and Page One but is unexpectedly rescued by Yamato, Kaido's child. Yamato explains a deep admiration for Kozuki Oden, produces Oden's journal, and declares an intention to help Luffy defeat Kaido and open Wano's borders.
