When a cursed womb appears at a detention facility, Yuji and the other first-year students are dispatched to rescue any survivors. Their assignment rapidly becomes a struggle against an enemy far beyond their abilities, while intelligent curses begin gathering around a mysterious sorcerer with plans for Satoru Gojo and Jujutsu High.

The first-years are trapped inside the detention center with a special-grade Finger Bearer. Yuji relinquishes control to Ryomen Sukuna, who destroys the curse but refuses to restore Yuji’s body until after removing his heart. Yuji regains control and dies after choosing not to let Sukuna endanger Megumi.
While Satoru Gojo secretly prepares Yuji for his eventual return, curses led by Mahito and Suguru Geto begin plotting against the sorcerers. Gojo demonstrates his overwhelming power against Jogo, and Mahito’s experiments with human souls draw the bullied student Junpei Yoshino into the conflict.
