Tensions rise before the exchange event between the Tokyo and Kyoto branches of Jujutsu High, but Yuji’s private training is interrupted by a series of grotesque murders. Accompanied by the experienced sorcerer Kento Nanami, Yuji investigates Mahito’s victims and becomes involved with the isolated Junpei Yoshino.

Kyoto students Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin provoke Megumi and Nobara before the upcoming exchange event. Meanwhile, Yuji accompanies Kento Nanami while investigating humans transformed by Mahito. Nanami confronts the curse directly and survives by forcing himself into overtime.

Yuji befriends Junpei and discovers that both share an interest in films. Mahito exploits Junpei’s anger toward his tormentors, teaching him to use cursed energy while arranging circumstances that deepen his resentment. After a Sukuna finger is planted in Junpei’s home, his mother is killed by a curse, driving Junpei to attack his school.
