Panda

Panda is friendly, sociable, observant, and emotionally perceptive. Despite literally not being human, he often understands human feelings more quickly than the people around him.

He enjoys teasing friends, particularly when romance or embarrassment is involved, but he becomes serious when someone is vulnerable. His encouragement of Yuuta during Jujutsu Kaisen 0 demonstrates how readily he notices feelings other characters are trying to hide.

Panda does not regard his nonhuman nature as an inferiority. He is comfortable identifying himself as a panda despite technically being a cursed corpse and treats questions about his existence with more humor than insecurity.

His compassion extends even toward enemies. During his fight with Mechamaru, Panda recognizes that isolation and resentment underlie his opponent's hostility and refuses to reduce him to an enemy machine.

Panda is an Abrupt-Mutation Cursed Corpse, Yaga's greatest known creation. Unlike conventional cursed corpses that require an external source of cursed energy or continuous manipulation, Panda generates his own cursed energy.

His body contains three cores that function like siblings. The standard Panda core controls his normal form, while switching cores allows his body and fighting characteristics to change.

Gorilla Mode emphasizes offensive power. In this form, Panda becomes more muscular and can deliver strikes that bypass conventional external defense by generating internal shock.

Drumming Beat is the signature attack associated with Gorilla Mode. The impact transmits force through the opponent's body, making simple blocking less effective.

Panda can survive serious damage as long as his cores are not all destroyed. This gives him unusual durability and makes his anatomy fundamentally different from that of human sorcerers.

His third core belongs to an older sister represented by a triceratops-like form. Later manga material briefly reveals this core before Panda suffers devastating damage during the Culling Game.

Panda first appears as one of Yuuta's classmates in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. He quickly accepts the frightened newcomer and becomes one of the students who helps him develop a sense of belonging.

During Getou's Night Parade, Panda and Inumaki return to Jujutsu High to support Yuuta and Maki.

In the main series, Panda participates in the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event and fights Kokichi Muta, who remotely controls Ultimate Mechamaru.

The battle reveals Panda's multiple-core physiology. He survives damage that Kokichi believes should have incapacitated him and counters using Gorilla Mode.

Panda continues participating in the students' missions and later becomes involved in the political turmoil following Shibuya.

After Yaga is sentenced to death, Panda reaches him shortly after Principal Gakuganji mortally wounds him. Rather than seeking revenge immediately, Panda mourns Yaga as his father and distinguishes his own grief from hatred.

During the Culling Game, Panda encounters Hajime Kashimo and is overwhelmingly defeated. Kashimo destroys his sibling cores, leaving Panda alive but greatly reduced in size and combat ability.

Masamichi Yaga creates Panda and raises him as a son. Panda regards Yaga as his father rather than simply his maker.

Maki Zenin is Panda's classmate and close friend.

Toge Inumaki is another second-year classmate and frequent teammate.

Yuuta Okkotsu becomes Panda's friend soon after enrolling. Panda is among the first people to notice Yuuta's feelings toward Maki and encourages him.

Kokichi Muta becomes Panda's principal opponent during the Goodwill Event. Panda sympathizes with his isolation despite defeating him.

Yoshinobu Gakuganji becomes connected to Panda through the execution order against Yaga and Yaga's final revelation about how independent cursed corpses can be created.

Hajime Kashimo destroys Panda's Gorilla and sister cores during the Culling Game.
