Jougo

Jougo is proud, hot-tempered, ideological, and deeply invested in the dignity of cursed spirits. He believes curses born from humanity's genuine negative emotions are more honest beings than humans themselves.

That conviction makes exterminating humanity more than simple hatred. Jougo wants a world where curses can openly exist as the dominant population and is willing to cooperate with other intelligent curses to create it.

He is highly confident until confronted by figures who exist completely outside the scale by which he evaluates strength. His humiliation against Gojou damages his pride, while his later encounter with Sukuna places him in the opposite role: a powerful special-grade forced to understand how weak he appears beside a monster from another era.

Despite his arrogance, Jougo genuinely cares about his fellow disaster curses. Mahito, Hanami, and Dagon are not disposable pawns to him, and his reactions to their suffering reveal attachments closer to comradeship than mere strategic alliance.

Jougo possesses cursed energy far above ordinary special-grade curses. Kenjaku estimates his strength generously in relation to Sukuna's fingers, although the comparison is not meant as an exact mathematical equivalence.

Disaster Flames allows Jougo to generate extreme heat, fire, volcanic eruptions, and explosive attacks. He can manifest small volcano-like openings on surfaces and detonate targets from unexpected directions.

His speed is exceptional. Jougo can eliminate injured Grade 1-level sorcerers in rapid succession before they can respond effectively.

Maximum: Meteor creates a gigantic burning mass and sends it crashing down with enough destructive force to devastate a large section of the battlefield.

Coffin of the Iron Mountain is Jougo's Domain Expansion. The interior resembles an active volcanic environment, and ordinary humans would be incinerated simply by being trapped inside. As with other complete domains, Jougo's technique gains a guaranteed-hit property.

Jougo can regenerate major bodily damage using cursed energy, surviving injuries that would immediately destroy weaker curses.

Jougo works with Mahito, Hanami, Dagon, and Kenjaku in the plan to seal Gojou and create an era dominated by curses.

Believing Gojou's reputation may be exaggerated, Jougo attacks him directly. Gojou effortlessly controls the confrontation and even brings Yuuji along so the student can observe Domain Expansion firsthand.

Jougo deploys Coffin of the Iron Mountain, only for Gojou to counter with Unlimited Void and overwhelm him completely. Hanami rescues Jougo before Gojou can finish the exorcism.

After this defeat, Jougo accepts that sealing Gojou is more realistic than attempting to kill him directly.

During Shibuya, Jougo participates in the coordinated effort to trap Gojou inside the Prison Realm. The curses exploit civilians, transfigured humans, and domain techniques to restrict how freely Gojou can fight.

After the sealing succeeds, Jougo remains focused on reviving Sukuna as a potential leader for the age of curses.

He encounters the heavily injured Nanami, Maki, and Naobito after their battle with Dagon and burns all three before searching for Yuuji.

Jougo force-feeds Yuuji multiple Sukuna fingers, allowing Sukuna to seize control temporarily. Sukuna offers to cooperate with the curses if Jougo can land even one hit on him.

The resulting battle devastates large sections of Shibuya. Jougo uses Maximum: Meteor but never manages to touch Sukuna. Sukuna ultimately kills him with a fire attack and, in an unusual gesture of respect, tells Jougo that he was strong.

Mahito is one of Jougo's closest cursed-spirit allies. Jougo accepts Mahito as the group's natural leader because of his potential for growth.

Hanami is another disaster curse and trusted companion. Jougo reacts strongly to Hanami's destruction during the Shibuya operation.

Dagon belongs to the same group and develops from a cursed womb into a fully realized special-grade curse.

Kenjaku acts as the strategist who provides the disaster curses with a practical method for removing Gojou from the battlefield.

Satoru Gojou humiliates Jougo in their first fight and becomes the central obstacle around which the curses construct the Shibuya plan.

Ryomen Sukuna represents the power Jougo hopes can anchor the age of curses. Sukuna instead turns their encounter into a test of Jougo and kills him after acknowledging his strength.

Yuuji Itadori is important to Jougo primarily as Sukuna's vessel and the means through which the ancient sorcerer can be restored.
