Big Mom's hunger pangs have transformed her into an unstoppable force of destruction, and she has set her sights on the Thousand Sunny. The only thing with any chance of stopping her is the enormous wedding cake that Sanji is helping construct, but the Straw Hats must deliver it before their ship is destroyed.
Meanwhile, Monkey D. Luffy's prolonged battle against Sweet General Charlotte Katakuri approaches its climactic conclusion as the Big Mom Pirates mobilize to prevent the Straw Hats from escaping Totto Land.
Big Mom boards the Thousand Sunny and searches for the promised wedding cake, forcing Nami, Jinbe, Brook, and the others to combine their abilities to drive her away. The Fire Tank Pirates deliver the completed cake to Funwari Island, drawing Big Mom away from the Straw Hats while Sanji departs for Cacao Island to retrieve Luffy.
Inside the Mirro-World, Luffy gradually develops the Observation Haki needed to challenge Katakuri's future sight. After Flampe interferes with the duel, Katakuri wounds himself to restore an honorable fight. Luffy activates Gear Four: Snakeman, and the two combatants exchange their final attacks before Katakuri falls. Luffy escapes with Pekoms, whose attempt to use his Sulong form is stopped by the Big Mom Pirates.
Germa 66 arrives to protect Sanji and Luffy, while the Sun Pirates clear a route through the surrounding fleet. Big Mom finally consumes the wedding cake and is overwhelmed by its flavor, but her forces continue closing around the Thousand Sunny. The volume ends with the apparent destruction of the Straw Hats' ship as the pursuit reaches its final stage.
