Pudding, Chiffon, and Sanji begin preparing a replacement wedding cake on Cacao Island as Big Mom catches the Thousand Sunny and summons an immense wave to destroy it. Jinbe demonstrates his exceptional skill as a helmsman by guiding the ship through the wave's interior, allowing the crew to survive. Germa 66 subsequently draws part of Big Mom's fleet away from the Sunny, while Sanji uses his culinary expertise to reproduce the original cake's flavor and complete the new confection.

Inside the Mirro-World, Luffy discovers Katakuri's concealed eating habits and briefly disrupts his composure. Katakuri soon regains control, however, and resumes overwhelming him. Luffy begins recognizing that Katakuri's predictive ability comes from highly developed Observation Haki and resolves to improve his own Haki through their battle, repeatedly retreating through Brûlée's mirrors to recover before returning.

On Cacao Island, Charlotte Oven attempts to execute Chiffon, but Bege rescues her and transports the completed cake onto the Nostra Castello. As Big Mom's fleet closes in on the Sunny beneath a full moon, Carrot transforms into her Sulong form and attacks the pursuing ships.
