Donquixote Rosinante, secretly working for the Marines, takes the terminally ill Law across the sea in search of a cure. After learning that the Op-Op Fruit can save him, Rosinante steals it from the Barrels Pirates and forces Law to eat it. Their escape fails when Vergo discovers Rosinante's betrayal and alerts Doflamingo. Rosinante conceals Law with his powers and willingly sacrifices himself, dying with a smile so the boy can escape unnoticed.

In the present, Doflamingo overwhelms Law while Bellamy, still desperate for his captain's recognition, attacks Luffy. Elsewhere, the alliance's fighters begin defeating the Donquixote officers: Hajrudin overcomes Machvise, Sai defeats Lao G, and Cavendish and Bartolomeo bring down Gladius.

At the palace, the Tontatta warriors rescue Princess Mansherry before her healing powers can restore Doflamingo's defeated forces. Meanwhile, Franky continues his battle with Señor Pink, whose unusual clothing and commitment to fighting honorably are explained through the tragedy of his wife Russian and their son Gimlet.
