Russian

Russian was warm, affectionate, and strongly opposed to pirates. She valued honesty and stability, although Pink’s deception denied her the opportunity to make an informed choice about their marriage.

She loved Gimlet deeply and was devastated by his death. Learning that Pink had lied compounded her grief and destroyed her trust at the moment she most needed support.

Even after suffering catastrophic injury, Russian retained an emotional response to Pink’s attempts to make her smile, revealing that some attachment survived beneath her unresponsive condition.

Russian had no established combat abilities, Devil Fruit power, or political authority. Her life was civilian and domestic.

Her importance comes from her effect on Señor Pink rather than any supernatural ability. The smile she produces when seeing him in their son’s bonnet changes how he dresses for the remainder of his life.

Russian meets and marries Señor Pink, believing he is a banker. They have a son, Gimlet, while Pink continues leaving home for Donquixote Pirates assignments.

Gimlet dies from illness while Pink is away. Russian discovers that no bank employs her husband, runs from him during a storm, and is left in a vegetative state after a landslide.

Pink begins wearing Gimlet’s bonnet and baby clothes because the sight makes Russian smile. She later dies, but he retains the outfit as a memorial to both her and their son.

Señor Pink was Russian’s husband. Russian loved Señor Pink but rejected him after discovering his prolonged deception.

Gimlet was Russian’s infant son. The death of Gimlet caused Russian overwhelming grief and precipitated the family’s collapse.
