Champion of Evil

The battles against the Donquixote Pirates approach their conclusions throughout Dressrosa. Franky defeats Señor Pink after an honorable contest of endurance, Roronoa Zoro cuts down Pica before he can attack the former royal family, and Kyros defeats Diamante at Scarlett's grave. With the enemy officers eliminated, the remaining fighters turn their attention toward the shrinking Birdcage and Doflamingo himself.

At the palace, Law survives Doflamingo's assault long enough to strike him with Gamma Knife, severely damaging his internal organs. Doflamingo uses his strings to repair the damage and continues attacking until Luffy intervenes. After defeating Bellamy, Luffy confronts Doflamingo directly and struggles against the Warlord's awakened String-String Fruit.

Luffy then unveils Gear Four: Boundman, combining his rubber body with Armament Haki to gain extraordinary strength, speed, and mobility. The transformation allows him to overpower Doflamingo, but his strongest attack fails to end the battle. When Gear Four expires, Luffy loses the use of Haki and must be protected while he recovers.
