Adventures of Oars

As dawn draws closer, the Straw Hats split up to confront Thriller Bark's commanders and recover their stolen shadows. Usopp exploits his immunity to Perona's Negative Hollows to defeat her, while Sanji battles Absalom to rescue Nami from a forced wedding. Elsewhere, Zoro defeats the zombie samurai Ryuuma Shimotsuki, reclaiming Brook's shadow and earning the legendary black blade Shusui. Tony Tony Chopper and Nico Robin overcome Doctor Hogback and his zombie servants, forcing the doctor to retreat.

Meanwhile, Oars rampages across Thriller Bark with Luffy's personality and combat instincts. After defeating Moria's principal subordinates, the Straw Hats regroup to confront the giant zombie together. Despite combining their abilities for the first time in a coordinated assault, they discover that Oars' immense size, durability, and access to Luffy's stretching techniques make him far more dangerous than any previous opponent.

The volume concludes with the Straw Hats beginning a desperate team battle against Oars while Moria prepares to intervene personally, raising the stakes of the conflict as sunrise steadily approaches.
