Meanwhile, Monkey D. Luffy remains trapped in the Udon labor camp with an army of enemies trying to kill him. Surrounded by danger, he attempts to turn his imprisonment into an opportunity to become strong enough to challenge Kaido.
The people of Ebisu Town continue laughing after Yasuie's execution, revealing the cruel effects of the defective SMILE fruits distributed by Orochi. Enraged, Roronoa Zoro and Sanji defend Toko from the shogun's forces before escaping the Flower Capital. At Udon, Eustass Kid discovers that the masked assassin Kamazo is his crewmate Killer, who was forced to eat a defective SMILE and serve Orochi.
Big Mom invades Udon and battles Queen, creating an opportunity for Luffy to free himself. After Queen removes her from the prison, Luffy rallies the infected prisoners against their captors, defeats Warden Babanuki, and takes control of Udon. The freed samurai recognize Kozuki Momonosuke as the heir capable of uniting them behind the rebellion.
As the alliance prepares for the raid, Zoro reunites Kozuki Hiyori with Kawamatsu in Ringo. Kawamatsu explains how he and the fox Onimaru collected weapons from abandoned graves for the coming war. The discovery of their hidden armory solves the alliance's shortage of weapons, while Hiyori offers Zoro the legendary sword Enma in exchange for returning Shusui to Wano.
