Following Zoro Roronoa's defeat by Dracule Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman departs after acknowledging Zoro's determination and encouraging him to continue pursuing his dream. Inspired by the encounter, Zoro renews his promise to never lose another duel until he achieves his ambition.

The Baratie soon faces a far greater threat as Krieg Don and the remnants of his pirate armada arrive after suffering catastrophic losses in the Grand Line. Although the fleet is starving and severely weakened, Krieg quickly abandons any pretense of gratitude, revealing his intention to seize the restaurant by force.

Sanji's decision to feed the starving pirate Gin becomes central to the conflict. Having experienced starvation himself, Sanji cannot ignore anyone in need of food, even an enemy. His actions leave a profound impression on Gin while frustrating many of the Baratie's staff, who recognize the danger of showing mercy to Krieg's crew.

As Krieg launches his assault, the Baratie's cooks join the battle alongside Luffy. Zeff's unwavering leadership and the determination of the restaurant's staff demonstrate that the Baratie is defended by far more than talented chefs, setting the stage for the decisive confrontation with the Krieg Pirates.
