Gin

Gin is disciplined, feared and accustomed to following brutal orders. His early reputation suggests that mercy has little place in his work as Krieg’s commander.

Sanji’s kindness exposes an honor that Gin has suppressed rather than lost. He returns to the Baratie with Krieg but begs that the restaurant be spared and later finds himself unable to deliver a killing blow against the cook who saved him.

His obedience is based on genuine loyalty and fear of Krieg’s authority, but it has limits. Gin ultimately rejects an order he considers intolerable, accepting punishment and poison rather than denying his own judgment.

Gin fights with two tonfa-like weapons, each fitted with a heavy metal ball. Their concentrated weight lets him crush armor, break shields and inflict severe blunt-force damage.

He is fast, physically strong and highly pain-tolerant. Gin defeats Pearl despite the latter’s extensive armor and overwhelms Sanji during their fight, though hesitation prevents him from completing the victory.

His technique Demon Man’s Dance drives both weapons through a rapid series of rotating strikes. He can redirect their momentum from unusual angles and attack at close range without sacrificing power.

Gin has no confirmed Devil Fruit or Haki. His 12,000,000-berry bounty and rank as combat commander reflect conventional martial ability and his importance within the Krieg Pirates.

Gin first arrives at the Baratie after escaping Fullbody’s custody. Starving and unable to pay, he is thrown out by Patty before Sanji brings him a meal.

Gin returns to Don Krieg and describes the floating restaurant. He brings his starving captain to the Baratie, where the cooks provide enough food for Krieg to recover.

Krieg betrays the restaurant and summons his remaining crew. Gin participates reluctantly, defeats Pearl and fights Sanji, but cannot kill the man who fed him.

Krieg responds by firing MH5 poison gas and ordering Gin to discard his mask. Gin gives his mask to Luffy, inhales the gas and survives long enough to carry his defeated captain away, promising Sanji that they will meet again on the Grand Line.

Much later, Gin appears alive with Krieg and Pearl on Hachinosu during Vegapunk’s worldwide broadcast, confirming that he survived the poisoning.

Don Krieg is Gin’s captain and the man he obeys through fear, discipline and longstanding loyalty. Gin ultimately defies Don Krieg when ordered to kill the person who saved him.

Sanji feeds Gin when the pirate is starving. Gin repays that mercy by sparing the Baratie’s cook and asking that the restaurant be left alone.

Monkey D. Luffy receives Gin’s gas mask during the MH5 attack. Gin comes to respect Luffy’s determination and asks him to defeat Krieg.

Pearl is Gin’s subordinate within the Krieg Pirates. Gin defeats Pearl when his uncontrolled attack threatens Sanji.

Fullbody captures Gin before the Baratie incident, but Gin escapes after hunger leaves him desperate.
