As the battle for Upper Yard begins, Enel predicts that only five of the island's eighty-one active combatants will remain standing after three hours. The Shandian warriors advance against his forces while the scattered Straw Hat Pirates become drawn into separate confrontations. Wiper defeats Shura with a Reject Dial, while Roronoa Zoro overcomes Braham after adapting to his Dial-powered firearms.

Elsewhere, Monkey D. Luffy clashes briefly with Wyper before becoming trapped inside the giant snake. Yama defeats Genbo, but Tony Tony Chopper earns his first major solo victory by overcoming Gedatsu. Aboard the Going Merry, Nami and Gan Fall defeat Satori's brothers, Hotori and Kotori, by identifying the Dials concealed in their hands.

As the number of surviving combatants rapidly falls, Kamakiri reaches Enel and attempts to strike him with a Seastone weapon. Enel reveals the full extent of his lightning powers, survives Kamakiri's attack, and defeats him with overwhelming force. Meanwhile, Robin Nico reaches the ancient ruins deeper within Upper Yard, where Yama confronts her as the survival game enters its final hour.
