The battle for Fish-Man Island continues as a giant ship threatens to collide with the island and destroy everything. The Straw Hat Pirates must defeat Hody Jones and help create a new bond between humans and fish-men.
With the crisis resolved, Monkey D. Luffy and his crew finally enter the New World, where strange seas and an urgent distress call lead them toward their next adventure.
As Luffy continues destroying Noah, the Sea Kings answer Shirahoshi's desperate call and stop the ark before it crushes Fish-Man Island. Severely wounded, Luffy requires a blood transfusion, and Jinbe openly defies the island's discriminatory law by donating his blood. The defeated New Fish-Man Pirates are imprisoned, and the kingdom celebrates the Straw Hats as heroes. Luffy asks Jinbe to join his crew, but the former Warlord postpones his answer until he has settled his remaining obligations.
During the victory banquet, Luffy intercepts a call from Charlotte Linlin, one of the Four Emperors whose protection depends upon Fish-Man Island supplying her with sweets. After taking responsibility for the missing candy, Luffy challenges her and declares that he will place the island under his own protection. The Straw Hats then say farewell to Shirahoshi and depart for the surface.
The crew enters the turbulent New World and receives an unexpected distress call from Punk Hazard, an island surrounded by fire. Ignoring warnings that the island is inaccessible, Luffy leads an exploration party ashore, where they encounter a massive artificial dragon.
