Arriving Again

With dawn only moments away, the Straw Hats make a final stand against Moria after he absorbs one thousand shadows into his own body. Although his immense new strength initially overwhelms the exhausted crew, Monkey D. Luffy exploits Moria's inability to control the shadows and defeats the Warlord with a decisive Gear Second attack. Moria's defeat releases every stolen shadow, allowing their owners—including Brook—to reclaim them before the rising sun destroys them.

The crew's victory is immediately overshadowed by the arrival of Bartholomew Kuma, another member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Acting on orders from the World Government, Kuma offers to spare the Straw Hats if they surrender Luffy. Instead, Roronoa Zoro volunteers to bear his captain's suffering. Kuma extracts all of Luffy's accumulated pain and exhaustion, which Zoro silently endures to protect his crew.

After Thriller Bark is left behind, Brook officially joins the Straw Hat Pirates as their musician. Soon afterward, the Thousand Sunny encounters a mermaid named Camie, setting the crew on a course toward Fish-Man Island. However, before reaching their destination, they must first navigate the Sabaody Archipelago and confront the mysterious Flying Fish Riders.
