After watching Momo struggle against the Evil Eye, Okarun begins training to master Turbo Granny’s speed and power. His lessons lead through a supernatural battle in the school music room and into a direct challenge against the Evil Eye, but a giant monster’s sudden appearance soon gives the group an entirely different threat to confront.
Turbo Granny takes Okarun and Aira Shiratori to the school music room, where animated portraits of classical composers attack them with rhythm-based projectiles. The exercise teaches Okarun to perceive tempo, control his movement and use Turbo Granny’s power more efficiently.
Okarun then challenges the Evil Eye and establishes a regular arrangement intended to satisfy the yokai’s desire for combat without endangering everyone around Jiji. Soon afterward, a giant kaiju appears and attacks Momo near her home. Classmate Kinta Sakata, eager to uncover Okarun’s supposed secrets of popularity, becomes involved when his imagination proves unusually compatible with alien nanotechnology. Inside the monster, the group discovers a mysterious girl named Vamola.
