Vamola is revealed as a survivor of the once-thriving Sumerian civilization, whose home world was devastated by the same alien force now attacking Earth. Her escape depended upon a group of women led by Banga, the stern former palace cook who found Vamola as a child and raised her amid a prolonged war.
As the Kur invasion intensifies, the narrative turns to Vamola’s past on Sumer. The Kur conquered her planet using organic factories called Big Mamas to manufacture combat suits from living captives. Orphaned during the attack, Vamola was rescued by Banga, who raised her alongside resistance fighters Tome and Aja.
Years later, the women seek a Sumerian transport pyramid capable of sending survivors to “Idea,” their legendary second home. The journey becomes a desperate battle through occupied territory. With the gate able to transport only one person, Banga gives Vamola the kaiju suit and sends her alone to Earth. Understanding the circumstances behind her arrival, Momo and the others recommit themselves to rescuing her from the Kur.
