The diorama completed by Momo and Zuma is revealed to be a cursed wicker trunk imprisoning the malicious Fairy-Tale Card. Once its final seal breaks, the yokai possesses Zuma, unleashes the full strength of ’Brella Boy and turns him against Okarun’s rescue party, leaving Momo seriously injured before Rokuro arrives with police assistance.
Destroying the castle crystal clears Danmara’s apparent game but releases Fairy-Tale Card, the yokai the trunk was built to contain. Its ability to dominate anyone who looks at it gives the spirit control of Zuma, while ’Brella Boy’s power lets the possessed teenager attack without his normal limitations.
Turbo Granny battles ’Brella Boy as Okarun tries to recover his golden ball and reach Momo. The trunk then exposes Zuma’s past: the deaths within his family, his descent into delinquency and the intervention of police officer Bega. Zuma’s umbrella powers originate with his younger brother Futa Zuma, whose spirit remained beside him. Understanding those memories gives the rescuers a possible way to break the Fairy-Tale Card’s control.
