Okarun’s missing golden ball gives Aira the ability to perceive spirits, but it also draws her into the path of Acrobatic Silky. Momo and Okarun must confront the red-clad yokai and uncover the sorrow underlying her fixation before another alien attack traps the three students together.
Acrobatic Silky swallows Aira and battles Okarun and Momo inside the school. Momo reads the yokai’s memories and learns that her obsession grew from a tragic life and the loss of her daughter. To revive Aira, Silky transfers her aura to the girl, leaving Aira with the yokai’s spiritual power and an altered understanding of what attacked her.
Aira nevertheless continues to regard Momo as demonic and believes herself chosen to protect the world. Her growing interest in Okarun heightens tensions among the classmates. Before they can resolve them, the Serpoians isolate Momo, Okarun and Aira in an empty dimensional copy of the school and deploy enhanced alien combatants against them.
