Momo Ayase believes in ghosts but dismisses aliens, while her occult-obsessed classmate believes exactly the opposite. Their attempt to prove each other wrong sends Momo to a purported UFO site and Okarun into a haunted tunnel, where both discover that the paranormal dangers they mocked are real.

After rejecting a boy who resembles her favorite actor, Momo Ayase defends the bullied Ken Takakura, whom she nicknames Okarun. Their opposing beliefs lead to a reckless challenge: Momo investigates an abandoned hospital associated with UFO sightings, while Okarun enters a tunnel haunted by Turbo Granny.

Both encounters prove genuine. The Serpo aliens awaken Momo’s psychokinetic abilities, and Turbo Granny curses Okarun while stealing his genitals. Assisted by Momo’s spirit-medium grandmother, Seiko Ayase, the teenagers survive their first confrontations and begin preparing to defeat Turbo Granny inside her territory.
