Synopsis
Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sai and Yamato pursue the missing-nin Mukade to the ruins of Rōran. When Mukade releases the ancient chakra flowing beneath the city, Naruto is transported twenty years into the past, when Rōran remains a thriving kingdom ruled by Sāra.
Naruto discovers that Mukade arrived years earlier, assumed the identity of Anrokuzan and gained influence over the young queen. To protect Rōran and return to his own era, Naruto cooperates with Sāra and a Leaf unit led by the future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. The fourth Shippuden film is a standalone time-travel story, commonly placed after the anime’s conflict with Pain’s former subordinate Mukade’s broader era, without forming part of the manga continuity.
