Synopsis
Konohagakure comes under aerial bombardment by ninja from the Land of the Sky, a vanished military power seeking revenge for its defeat during the Second Shinobi World War. Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Hinata Hyūga subsequently accompany the physician Shinnō and his apprentice Amaru to assist a village endangered by the attackers.
The mission leads to an immense airborne fortress powered by dark chakra, while Sasuke Uchiha—then serving Orochimaru—pursues a separate objective connected to the same enemy. Set during the early Shippuden period, the movie is especially notable for bringing Naruto and Sasuke together in battle without resolving the conflict separating them in the main storyline.
