Hanami enters the exchange-event grounds and attacks the students, forcing the Tokyo and Kyoto teams to abandon their rivalry. Toge Inumaki, Megumi and Noritoshi attempt to slow the special-grade curse, but their attacks prove insufficient. Maki joins the defense with several cursed tools before Yuji and Todo take over the battle.

Under Todo’s guidance, Yuji achieves Black Flash and rapidly improves his command of cursed energy. Todo reveals his Boogie Woogie technique, allowing the pair to disorient Hanami through constant positional exchanges. Although Satoru Gojo eventually breaks through the barrier and forces the invaders to retreat, Mahito successfully steals cursed objects from the school’s storehouse.
