Synopsis
Two years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, the moon begins descending toward Earth, threatening catastrophic destruction. Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyūga, Sakura Haruno, Shikamaru Nara and Sai are assigned to rescue Hinata’s abducted sister, Hanabi Hyūga, and investigate the lunar crisis.
Their mission leads to Toneri Ōtsutsuki, a descendant of Hamura Ōtsutsuki who believes humanity must be punished for corrupting chakra into an instrument of war. Alongside the planetary threat, the film focuses on Naruto gradually understanding Hinata’s longstanding feelings. Set between manga chapters 699 and 700, The Last is an official part of the main storyline and bridges the war’s aftermath with the series epilogue.
