Dorry

Dorry is boisterous, sociable, and governed by the warrior code of Elbaf. He can befriend visitors quickly and treats hospitality as compatible with a life built around battle. His distinctive laugh and enormous scale do not obscure a thoughtful understanding of honor.

His century-long duel with Brogy is neither a feud driven by hatred nor a simple attempt at murder. Both giants value the judgment of Elbaf’s god and continue fighting because abandoning the contest would compromise the pride by which they live.

Dorry refuses to explain away defeat even when he suspects outside interference. After an explosion weakens him, he still meets Brogy at the appointed time and accepts the result rather than dishonor their agreement.

Dorry possesses the immense strength and durability of a giant, amplified by experience as captain of a legendary warrior crew. He can battle Brogy evenly for a century, survive catastrophic internal injuries, and fight creatures far larger than most sea kings.

He wields a massive sword suited to his size. His attacks combine physical power with the practiced technique of an Elbaf warrior, allowing him to cut or repel enormous targets.

Together with Brogy, Dorry performs Hakoku Sovereignty, a combined shock-wave attack capable of blasting through the Island Eater while leaving a clear passage for the Going Merry. After returning to active piracy, Dorry demonstrates Armament Haki and helps confront the World Government’s forces at Egghead.

Dorry and Brogy once captained the Giant Warrior Pirates together. A dispute over which of them had killed the larger sea creature could not be settled, so they began dueling on Little Garden whenever the island’s volcano erupted. Their weapons gradually deteriorated, but neither gained a lasting advantage.

Dorry befriends Monkey D. Luffy and Nefertari Vivi when they explore the island. Gem secretly places explosives in Dorry’s alcohol, allowing Brogy to defeat him during their next duel. Dorry survives, and the sabotage is exposed during the Straw Hats’ battle with Baroque Works.

After the agents are defeated, Dorry and Brogy use Hakoku Sovereignty to destroy the giant Island Eater and clear the Straw Hats’ route away from Little Garden. Much later, the pair resume leadership of the Giant Warrior Pirates, assist Shanks against the Kid Pirates, rescue the Straw Hats from Egghead, and return to Elbaf. Their reactivated bounties rise from 100 million to 1.8 billion berries each.

Brogy is Dorry’s co-captain, closest friend, and century-long rival. Dorry trusts Brogy’s honor absolutely, even when sabotage creates the appearance of an uneven result.

Monkey D. Luffy becomes Dorry’s friend on Little Garden. Dorry admires Monkey D. Luffy’s courage, while Monkey D. Luffy furiously rejects the interference that corrupts the giants’ duel.

Usopp reveres Dorry and Brogy as models of the brave warriors he hopes to emulate. Nefertari Vivi shares Dorry’s hospitality and helps uncover the plot against him.

Galdino plans to capture Dorry for his bounty, while Gem sabotages his drink. Mikita and Marianne assist the operation.

Shanks is later shown as a trusted friend of Dorry and Brogy. Oimo and Kashii are loyal members of the Giant Warrior Pirates who spent decades searching for their missing captains.
