Komatsu’s role in saving humanity raises him to 88th place in the World Chef Ranking and earns him entry into the prestigious Cooking Festival. He joins the world’s finest culinary specialists in a vast competition where extraordinary cooking ability is inseparable from physical strength.
After the Four Beast’s defeat, its meat is distributed among the survivors and incorporated into Toriko’s Full Course as his salad. The Four Kings demonstrate the dramatic evolution caused by their training, while Komatsu receives recognition from the Gourmet Seven for organizing the medicinal-mochi operation.
Komatsu travels to Cooking Island for the Cooking Festival, joining elite chefs from across the world. The preliminary triathlon tests speed, ingredient handling and survival as contestants swim through treacherous waters, cross hostile terrain and prepare difficult ingredients under pressure. Although initially overwhelmed by the scale of the event, Komatsu’s Food Luck and ability to hear ingredients allow him to advance alongside the highest-ranked competitors.
