The successful preparation of AIR is followed by a sudden assault from NEO, during which the controlled Teppei tears Komatsu’s heart from his body. With only a limited opportunity to save their chef, Toriko and the other Heavenly Kings travel to Area 7 in search of Acacia’s Soup, PAIR.
The inhabitants of Hex Food World celebrate AIR while the Daruma Hermit reveals that their ancestors were humans altered by Nitro experiments. The feast is interrupted when Teppei and other NEO operatives attack, seeking AIR for their organization. Toriko destroys several assailants, but Teppei escapes through the Back Channel after removing Komatsu’s heart. A Viscera Fruit temporarily sustains Komatsu, while information about PAIR offers the possibility of restoring him.
Toriko, Coco, Sunny and Zebra enter Area 7 aboard the Denshark and discover a continent ruled by monkeys under the absolute authority of Bambina. Guided by the enigmatic Kaka, the Kings endure relentless attacks from the region’s primates. Their resistance inspires oppressed monkeys to rebel against the violent hierarchy imposed by Bambina’s strongest subjects.
