With Century Soup added to his Full-Course Menu, Toriko begins preparing for an eventual journey into the hostile Gourmet World. IGO president Ichiryu assigns Toriko and Komatsu a training mission to obtain Ozone Grass, an exceptionally delicate vegetable growing high above the clouds.

Komatsu unveils his completed Century Soup, attracting enormous attention and establishing the dish as one of his greatest culinary accomplishments. Toriko celebrates by adding it to his menu, but Ichiryu warns that his present strength remains inadequate for surviving the Gourmet World. To train him, the IGO president assigns Toriko and Komatsu to retrieve Ozone Grass from Vegetable Sky.
The pair climbs an immense beanstalk extending into the stratosphere, enduring thinning air, unstable weather and powerful airborne creatures. At the summit, they discover a vast garden of oversized produce and locate the elusive Ozone Grass. Its layered leaves resist ordinary harvesting, forcing hunter and chef to coordinate their actions with perfect timing.
