Yuji Kubo

Kubo receives little characterization away from baseball. His role is primarily that of a capable player selected for Daimon's varsity and later associated with another strong school program.

The series does not establish enough about his private life or motivations to support a more detailed personality profile.

Kubo plays third base for Daimon's Seishuu varsity and bats fifth, placing him in the middle portion of the batting order.

His selection for the favored first-string team establishes him as a competent high-school player, although no signature hitting technique or exceptional defensive specialty is emphasized.

Kubo is introduced as part of the varsity group assembled under Daimon's system. He plays against the prefab team during Seishuu's internal struggle over which group deserves to represent the school.

After Daimon's control of Seishuu ends, Kubo leaves the program. He later appears with Ryuou Academy, placing him within the powerhouse school that becomes Seishuu's principal obstacle on the road to Koshien.

Shuugo Daimon selects Kubo for Seishuu's favored varsity and coaches him during the divided-club period.

Yuuhei Azuma, Tatsumasa Miki, Noboru Kamikawa, Kinji Takizawa, Minoru Ishiguro, Keisuke Kishibe, Kazuo Ogura and Tooru Onoda are among Kubo's teammates on the original Seishuu varsity.

After leaving Seishuu, Kubo becomes associated with the Ryuou baseball program and therefore occupies the opposing side of Seishuu's later competitive path.
