Noboru Kamikawa

Kamikawa receives most of his characterization through baseball. He is confident enough to occupy an important role on Daimon's recruited team, but his encounters with Kou expose the gap between being a strong high-school pitcher and possessing exceptional raw potential.

His identity within the team is closely tied to Daimon's program and the recruited players with whom he arrived at Seishuu.

Kamikawa is primarily a control pitcher. He emphasizes placement and accuracy rather than relying solely on velocity, and his repertoire includes fastballs and multiple breaking pitches.

His ability is substantial enough for Daimon to make him the varsity's principal pitcher. Azuma likewise initially includes Kamikawa among the small number of teammates he believes can help carry Seishuu to Koshien.

Kou's pitching provides an uncomfortable comparison. During the first prefab-versus-varsity game, Kou produces the kind of fastball Azuma had wanted to see from Kamikawa, highlighting the difference in their ceilings as pitchers.

Kamikawa appears as part of Daimon's hand-picked first-string team and takes over pitching duties after Senda proves ineffective. His presence helps establish the level of the recruited varsity that the prefab players must challenge.

He faces Maeno's squad in the internal competition over Seishuu's baseball program. After Daimon's varsity loses the decisive rematch and the program is dissolved, Kamikawa follows Daimon to Kurokoma Vocational High School rather than remaining with Seishuu.

Shuugo Daimon recruits and coaches Kamikawa, later remaining his coach after the Seishuu varsity is dissolved.

Yuuhei Azuma initially considers Kamikawa one of the few first-string players important enough to remember. Yuuhei Azuma also expects more velocity from him and compares his fastball unfavorably with Kou's.

Kou Kitamura becomes an indirect pitching rival whose hidden ability challenges the assumptions behind Daimon's player selection.
