Sugarboy is confident, flamboyant, eccentric, and fond of speaking in exaggerated, almost musical phrases. He regularly describes people and situations with words such as "spicy" or "sweet" and gives opponents descriptive nicknames.
He is deeply attached to his Hound Dogs and reacts to their consumption of magic as though receiving feedback from beloved pets.
Compared with more fanatical Legion members, Sugarboy's commitment to Zentopia is less overtly ideological. His defining traits remain personal style, confidence, and attachment to his unusual magic.

Dog Whistle Magic causes large quantities of green mucus to emerge and behave semi-autonomously. Sugarboy's Hound Dogs can engulf people, immobilize them, and suppress their ability to cast magic.
The slime can also consume magical attacks directly. Sugarboy notes that the Hound Dogs particularly enjoy Natsu Dragneel's flames.
He can reshape the substance into large appendages for grabbing or throwing opponents and use the mass itself for mobility. A microphone-like staff helps direct the Hound Dogs.

Sugarboy enters Fairy Tail alongside Mary Hughes and Coco, demanding that Lucy Heartfilia be surrendered.
He fills the guild hall with Hound Dogs, trapping Elfman Strauss, Mirajane Strauss, Lisanna Strauss, and other members while their magic is consumed.
Sugarboy later searches independently for an Infinity Clock component and encounters Gray Fullbuster, Juvia Lockser, and Lyon Vastia.
Their ability to adapt to his slime eventually deprives him of the advantage that made his first guild-hall attack so effective.
Like the rest of the Legion Corps, Sugarboy later stops treating Fairy Tail as the true enemy once Zentopia's manipulation is exposed.
