Byro Cracy

Byro is stoic, disciplined, polite, and intensely devoted to duty. He treats Zentopia's mission as more important than personal survival and openly states that he and the Legion Corps are prepared to sacrifice their lives if doing so prevents catastrophe.

That devotion initially makes him rigid. Byro assumes that the authority of the Church validates its orders and becomes angry when subordinates begin questioning whether their mission remains righteous.

He is nevertheless capable of changing when presented with undeniable evidence. Once he recognizes that Zentopia has been manipulated, Byro redirects the same uncompromising commitment toward stopping those responsible.

Byro's Nullification Magic allows him to erase or cancel other magic before it reaches him. This provides an exceptional advantage against opponents who depend heavily on Caster Magic and lets him neutralize attacks from multiple directions.

He channels magic through a staff and can use Divine Arrow as an offensive technique, demonstrating that his abilities are not purely defensive.

Byro is also exceptionally strong in hand-to-hand combat. He can continue overpowering experienced fighters after nullifying their magic rather than relying on spell cancellation to do all of the work.

Byro directs the Legion Corps' pursuit of Lucy and the Infinity Clock components, frequently traveling with the giant octopus Kanaloa.

He repeatedly clashes with Team Natsu and demonstrates how difficult Nullification Magic is for conventional mages to overcome. Natsu Dragneel in particular challenges Byro's belief that duty justifies sacrificing companions.

A turning point comes when Coco interferes with one of Byro's attacks and directly condemns Zentopia for using its power against the weak.

Byro initially treats Coco's intervention as betrayal, but later discovers that Cardinal Lapointe has manipulated the Church and the Legion Corps. He joins Gildarts against Lapointe and uses Nullification Magic to strip away the false Cardinal's magical advantage.

Coco serves under Byro but eventually becomes the subordinate who most directly challenges his interpretation of righteousness.

Mary Hughes, Sugarboy, Dan Straight, and Samuel are members of the Legion Corps under Byro's command.

Kanaloa is Byro's giant octopus companion and regular transportation.

Natsu Dragneel repeatedly confronts Byro physically and ideologically.

Lapointe appears to be one of the Zentopia authorities above Byro. Byro ultimately turns against him after discovering the manipulation surrounding the Church.

Gildarts Clive becomes Byro's temporary ally against Lapointe.

Byro is his Edolas counterpart.
