From the boat, the group sees Pacific Buoy offshore. Conan's curiosity about the facility increases when he notices Ninzaburo Shiratori and Hyoue Kuroda heading there.
Ushio remains outside the subsequent struggle between Interpol personnel, Conan and the Black Organization. His function is to establish the island's maritime setting and connect the vacationing group with the offshore facility around which the main case develops.
