Kana Mizuta

Kana is friendly and professional in her work at Kitanosawa Lodge. Her responsibilities put her in contact with visitors arriving in the village, including Kogoro Mouri, Ran Mouri, Sonoko Suzuki and their companions.

The film gives Kana relatively little individual characterization outside her work. Unlike the group of former Kitanosawa residents at the center of the mystery, she does not carry a hidden connection to the events from eight years earlier.

Kana is an ordinary civilian with no established combat abilities, supernatural powers or investigative training.

Her established skills are occupational. She works at the Kitanosawa Lodge as a receptionist and assists with the normal operation of the accommodation serving visitors to the snowy village.

Kana appears at Kitanosawa Lodge during the group's visit in The Quarter of Silence. Her presence helps establish the lodge as the visitors' base while Conan Edogawa becomes increasingly involved in the mysteries surrounding the community.

She is not one of the suspects in Shogo Hikawa's death and does not become a major participant in the investigation.

Kana returns in the Magic File 5 OVA Niigata~Tokyo Souvenir Capriccio, a post-story connected to The Quarter of Silence. Her return provides continuity between the movie's Kitanosawa setting and the accompanying special.

Mizuki Tono works at Kitanosawa Lodge alongside Kana.

Kogoro Mouri, Ran Mouri, Sonoko Suzuki, Conan Edogawa, Hiroshi Agasa, Ai Haibara, Ayumi Yoshida, Genta Kojima and Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya are among the visitors staying in Kitanosawa during the events surrounding Kana's appearance.
