Benin is composed, observant, and less recklessly aggressive than Jai. When Jai knocks Senna down, Benin warns him not to crush the person they need alive.
She follows Ganryū’s orders closely and retreats rather than continuing an unnecessary engagement. In battle, she shifts between ranged and close-quarters weapons according to the opponent.

Benin’s primary weapons are two curved daggers linked by a chain. She uses them independently for close combat or manipulates the chain to bind and strangle an opponent.
She also carries throwing knives and a crossbow equipped with a magnifying scope. The crossbow enables precise long-range attacks, while the knives pressure faster targets at intermediate distances.
Benin is skilled enough to stall captain-level opponents briefly. She can manipulate Blanks as a Dark One, although the film focuses more heavily on her weapon proficiency than on a unique Blank-based technique.

Benin accompanies the Dark Ones during their first attempt to capture Senna and withdraws when Ichigo Kurosaki intervenes. In the later ambush, she fights Suì-Fēng until Ganryū secures the Shinenju.
Inside the Valley of Screams, Benin initially confronts Rangiku Matsumoto but retreats when Rangiku releases Haineko. She later attempts to shoot Yumichika Ayasegawa, only for Suì-Fēng to catch the bolt.
Benin traps Suì-Fēng with the chain between her daggers, but the captain breaks free. Because Suzumebachi has already marked Benin’s armor, Suì-Fēng strikes the same point again and kills her with Nigeki Kessatsu.
