The Allied Shinobi Forces confront several former Kage while Darui’s division battles Kinkaku and Ginkaku. The brothers possess Nine-Tails chakra and wield the Sage of Six Paths’ treasured tools, which can seal anyone who speaks the word they use most frequently. Darui escapes the weapons’ effects by changing the word within his heart, then seals Ginkaku. Kinkaku responds by transforming with the Nine-Tails’ chakra, forcing the alliance to employ another treasured tool to contain him.

Elsewhere, Mifune faces the resurrected Hanzō, whose conviction has deteriorated since their earlier encounter. Mifune defeats him and reminds him of the ideals he once represented.

Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Chōji Akimichi confront their resurrected teacher, Asuma Sarutobi. Chōji initially cannot bring himself to attack Asuma, but encouragement from his teammates and memories of his family restore his resolve. The three combine their inherited techniques, defeat Asuma, and allow him to praise their growth before he is sealed.
