Naruto Vol. 51

With the Five Kage Summit concluded, Danzō attempts to return to Konoha but is intercepted by Tobi, who brings Sasuke to confront him. Danzō reveals an arm implanted with multiple Sharingan and repeatedly survives fatal attacks by using Izanagi, a forbidden technique that temporarily converts injury and death into illusion. Sasuke and Karin analyze the technique’s limits while Danzō attempts to outlast Sasuke’s Susanoo.

Sasuke eventually deceives Danzō into misjudging his remaining Sharingan and leaves him vulnerable. Danzō takes Karin hostage, but Sasuke attacks through her to mortally wound him. In a final attempt to destroy both Sasuke and Tobi, Danzō activates a sealing technique and dies without accomplishing his objective.

Sasuke then turns against the injured Karin. Sakura arrives intending to kill Sasuke herself but cannot carry out the attack. When Sasuke attempts to kill her, Kakashi intervenes and accepts responsibility for confronting his former student. Their reunion confirms how completely Sasuke has rejected his former bonds.
