Synopsis
Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates accompany Nefertari Vivi to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where a rebellion threatens to engulf the country in civil war. As Vivi attempts to reconcile the royal army and the rebels, the crew confronts the criminal organization Baroque Works and its leader, Crocodile, whose plans depend on deepening the kingdom’s unrest.
The eighth theatrical film is a condensed retelling of the Alabasta storyline from the manga and television anime rather than a separate adventure. It emphasizes the arc’s central battles and emotional turning points, presenting the conflict as a self-contained feature while omitting or abbreviating substantial portions of the original journey.
