Synopsis
Bleach the Movie: The DiamondDust Rebellion follows 10th Division captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya after the Ōin, a powerful royal artifact, is stolen while under his unit's protection. Hitsugaya recognizes one of the attackers and abandons his post to pursue the thief, leading the Soul Society to suspect him of treason.
Determined to establish Hitsugaya's innocence, Ichigo Kurosaki investigates the theft with Rukia Kuchiki and Rangiku Matsumoto. The second animated film in the Bleach franchise tells an original, self-contained story exploring Hitsugaya's past, the history of Hyōrinmaru and the consequences of the Soul Society's inflexible laws rather than adapting a manga arc.
