Synopsis
Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black begins when a mysterious pair infiltrates the Soul Society, attacks Mayuri Kurotsuchi and triggers an explosion that devastates the Seireitei. Rukia Kuchiki subsequently disappears, while the Soul Reapers lose their memories of both her and Ichigo Kurosaki.
Ichigo travels to the Soul Society with Kon to find Rukia, only to be treated as an intruder by former allies who no longer recognize him. The third animated film in the Bleach franchise tells an original, self-contained story centered on memory, identity and the bond between Ichigo and Rukia rather than adapting a manga arc.
