Ryotarou Haga

Haga is cruel and self-interested, showing no meaningful remorse for the assault on Ayaka. He remains aligned with the other perpetrators after entering Gantz rather than distancing himself from them.

During the hunt for Tae, he is willing to use Gantz weapons against other human participants. His behavior demonstrates how quickly he accepts lethal violence when the system gives him an excuse and the equipment to carry it out.

Haga has no supernatural abilities or established specialized combat training.

As a Gantz participant, he receives access to the standard suit and weapons. He survives the Ring Alien mission, but nothing establishes him as an especially accomplished hunter.

During the Tae mission he uses Gantz firearms against human opponents, making him dangerous primarily because of the equipment rather than exceptional personal ability.

Haga arrives with Ayaka and the other new participants before the Ring Alien mission. After everyone returns, Ayaka tells Reika Shimohira about the sexual assault.

When Gantz immediately begins another mission and identifies Tae as the target, Haga joins the faction pursuing her.

After Kurono incapacitates Iwamoto while protecting Tae, Haga and Mikawa flee. Haga later joins the armed pursuit of Kurono, but Kurono destroys his legs with Gantz weaponry. Haga bleeds severely and dies before the transfer back to the room is completed.

Ayaka Uranaka is Haga's victim and enters Gantz alongside him and the other perpetrators.

Kaoru Iwamoto, Joji Tomioka and Naoichi Mikawa remain associated with Haga after the group enters Gantz.

Kei Kurono becomes Haga's opponent during the mission targeting Tae, when Haga joins the hunters attempting to kill Kurono and his girlfriend.

Tae Kojima is the human target Haga agrees to pursue after Gantz assigns the Tokyo team its unusual mission.
