Ayaka Uranaka

Ayaka is traumatized, frightened and initially distrustful. She hides after materializing in the Gantz room and avoids the men responsible for assaulting her whenever possible.

She nevertheless attempts to seek ordinary justice after the Ring Alien mission rather than immediately turning to revenge. Recognizing Reika, she confides in her and asks to use her phone to contact the police.

When she finally has a Gantz weapon pointed at one of her attackers, Ayaka freezes. Her inability to fire reflects the psychological effects of the assault rather than sympathy for the men.

Ayaka has no supernatural abilities or established combat training.

As a Gantz participant, she receives access to the suit and advanced weapons. She can operate the equipment but is not established as a skilled hunter.

Her trauma affects her ability to use lethal force even when she has a clear opportunity to attack the people who harmed her.

Ayaka enters before the Ring Alien mission and survives alongside the men responsible for her assault. After returning to the room, she privately tells Reika what happened and attempts to contact the police.

Gantz immediately begins the Tae mission before anyone can leave. During that hunt, Ayaka gets an opportunity to confront Joji Tomioka with a weapon but cannot make herself fire.

She later remains with several of the surviving perpetrators during the Oni Alien mission. Their group encounters the Oni executives in human form, and the fire-based Oni incinerates Ayaka and the men accompanying her.

Reika Shimohira becomes Ayaka's principal source of support after the Ring Alien mission. Reika Shimohira listens to her account, shields her from the approaching men and lends her a phone.

Joji Tomioka, Naoichi Mikawa, Ryotarou Haga, Kaoru Iwamoto and Yoshiharu Ueda are the five men responsible for assaulting Ayaka.

Kei Kurono fights against members of Ayaka's group when they attempt to carry out Gantz's order against Tae.
